We were all going to take the ferry to Angel Island for our friend Liz's birthday party on Saturday. Half of our plans got foiled by Owen who decided to wake up (and stay awake) at 5:45 a.m. Instead of having a day together with two or more cranky people, we decided to split up. Matt and Eloise took the ferry to Angel Island and had a great time. Owen and I stayed at home and napped and folded laundry (and had a very relaxing time). All in all it was another really great weekend!
I also want to encourage all of you curious union fans to leave comments on this blog whenever it suits you. I always read the comments to Eloise and she really likes to hear what everyone has to say!

Eloise, I'm so glad you went to Angel Island. Your Great-grandpa John (Patah's Daddy) lived for 1 month on the island. He was in the army and returning from Hawaii. He was quarantined on Angel Island to make sure he didn't bring any sickness to his home.
I liked playing on the beach. It was fun going on a bridge and the ferry boat was lots of fun!

Hey Eloise, I remember going on that ferry to Angel Island when you mommy was a little girl. We hiked all the way to the top of the island. I was pooped out after climbing to the top. Too bad your mommy and Owen couldn't go with you and your daddy. P.S. You look cute in your hat.
